Nectarine and Fig Cobbler

Figs fresh from the tree in my garden and ripe Nectarines, I bought a day before needed to be eaten. Fruit salad or Smoothie was not something I had a craving for, but I found the recipe of the day on one Internet site: Peach Cobbler and changed it a bit. Voila, a great warm treat served with a bit of creme fraiche.

It is a great dish to serve in summer instead of a cake.

recipe:
500 g nectarines
2 figs
1 tsp cinnamon
85 g flour
60 g porridge oats
40 g brown sugar
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
1 pinch of salt
1 tbsp vanilla sugar
85 g butter
1 tsp butter for the baking dish
1 bowl of creme fraiche

Take a peeler and get most of the skin off the nectarines, get the stone out and cut the fruit into slices. Chop off top and bottom of the figs and cut them into slices. Mix them with the cinnamon.
Use a medium size oven proof dish and butter it.
Pour in the fruits.
In a bowl  mix the dry ingredients with the soft butter until crumbly. When the crumbles are to soft, put the bowl into the fridge for 20 min, then crumble over the fruits.
Preheat the oven 180 C

Bake for 25 minutes and let it cool for 20 minutes before serving it with creme fraiche.
