Ahi Poke with Avo and Seaweed

This is a traditional dish from Hawaii. You will find it at every Luau and everywhere you find fresh fish. It is a pity, that only very few of my friends eat raw fish. In have to make this salad for myself.
Who loves Sushi would love this salad!

The biggest problem here is to find sashimi quality tuna or salmon. I am here in central Germany and the ocean is very far away. And in a city with just 160.000 it is not so easy to get it in every supermarket. But I found a source!

A combination with avocado is a great way to have a creamy counterpoint to the fish.

recipe for 2:
280 g tuna sashimi quality
2 spring onions
1 avocado
8 cm cucumber
2  spring onions
1 tsp Korean chili flakes
1/2 lemon juiced
2 tbsp dark sesame oil
3 tbsp soy sauce
fresh pepper
30 g roasted macadamia nuts
30 g toasted sesame seeds
1/2 tsp dried seaweed flakes / shredded noori

Cube tuna and avocado and quarter the piece of cucumber to cut into fine slices, chop the spring onions.

Run a knife through the macadamia nuts and juice the lemon.
Mix all ingredients together and season with lemon juice, soy sauce and sesame oil.
Add toasted sesame seeds and shredded noori seaweed.

Serve on top of some well baked bread or toasted bread.
