This salad is from the cookbook I bought on my first trip to Sicily. The same book the Scacciata catanese was from.
The combination of salty olives and red onions with very sweet oranges is wonderful. Just a little lemon salt and pepper, some olive oil and a sprinkle of parsley makes a perfect starter.
Arrange a lot of oranges with these ingredients on a large platter and put it on a party buffet. People will love it.
