A salty and sweet treat to impress your guests.
Black Forest Ham is salty and dry and can easily be used to wrap other food in it.
The ham is a treat on its own. On a good sourdough bread with butter is usually enough for me. But I was looking for something a little more fancy.
Use 2 slices of ham and let them overlap. That way the filling is more stable inside.
I decided to use a sweet apple piece and some very hearty Old Amsterdam cheese as a contrast. The lambs lettuce gives it freshness. It is paired with plum chutney.
I served the wraps with buttered toast.
Ingredients for 4 wraps:
8 Black Forest Ham slices
1/2 Elstar apple
4 thin trances of Old Amsterdam cheese
2 hands full of lambs lettuce
40 g Plum chutney
