Mulled wine Zabaglione

To serve a bit of festive glam I decided to make a Zabaglione and serve this with a piece of Christmas spiced banana cake.

Zabaglione is usually made with Marsala wine, some make it with Prosecco. Since we are in the Advent time and mulled wines are sold here on all Christmas markets, I exchanged the regular wine with a white mulled wine from a local winery.

4 egg yolks
2 whole eggs
70 g sugar
300 ml white mulled wine

Now you have to use a lot of elbow grease with a huge bowl over a pot of boiling water and a whisk. Take your time, it takes a lot of time.
Use a Thermomix, add the butterfly and put the ingredients in, set the timer at 8 minutes and 70 C on speed 3.

Take a seat on the couch and relax.
You can be sure, your Zabaglione will keep its volume for more then an hour.
