The Japanese guy on YT runnyrunny999 does some laid back cooking series. Easy and yummy recipes.
I watched him cook pork belly the other day and knew what to cook on the next day. Not only does is sound easy, the flavours added to the stock intrigued me. The only thing to buy was the meat.
You can easily prepare the dish in advance, making the dressing sauce and cooking rice is not much to do later.
Recipe for 2:
350 g pork belly
6 cloves of garlic
6 large slices of ginger
2 bay leaves
3 spring onions
Salt and pepper
Seasoing sauce:
Shoyu
Vinegar
Sugar
Sesame oil
Garlic
Cook the pork belly with the aromats for one hour. Get the meat out, wrap it in aluminium foil and let it get down to room temperature.
Cook the rice. Make the sauce.
Cut up some spring onion and some bell pepper if you like. Get it on top of the fresh cooked rice and use some sauce.
