I had a day old baguette from my French food haul.
Sunday mornings are great for new things and the baguette had to go. Instead of sugar and cinnamon mixed in eggs and milk, I used smoked paprika, salt, pepper, thyme, parmesan and mozzarella.
Soak the thick slices of baguette in the mix. Turn around and let the cheese stick to it. Melt butter in oil in a pan and brown the slices on both sides. You may have to scrape the cheese off the bottom of the pan.
Serve with some thick Greek yogurt.
Ingredients:
5 slices of baguette
2 eggs
150 ml whole milk
20 g parmesan
20 g mozzarella grated
Salt, pepper, smoked paprika, thyme, Piment d'Espelette
