Mocca Ice Cream

I was longing for some homemade ice cream and my eyes fell on the new Thermomix magazine issue, that just arrived this week. Coffee Ice Cream, yeah!

It is not a problem to make this ice cream without an ice cream maker, so just throw all ingredients into a pot and slowly get them up to 90 C using a temperature probe, stiring constantly, so that the eggs do not scramble.

Cool the liquid down and place it into an ice cream container and freeze it.

I made mocca ice cream out of the recipe and as most of the time, changed a few ingredients.

400 ml milk
200 ml double cream
2 eggs
140 g sugar
40 ml Camp Chicoree and Coffee Essence
2 sticks instant coffee
1 tsp vanilla extract
35 g cocoa powder
a pinch of salt

You  can decorate it with some choc chips, some cookie crumbs or what ever you have on hand.
