Smoked Salmon Puff Pastry

Chicory and parsley are a main component in this baked pastry too.



And who does not love cream cheese?



The smoked salmon was not from a farm in Norway and it was organic. Regular the price would have been very high. But it was just one day short of its expiration date, it had a red sticker on and was price reduced.



All other ingredients were at home, no need to buy more stuff for this dish, but get rid of some other things in the fridge.



Recipe for 2:

1 rectangular sheet puff pastry, halved

100 g smoked salmon

50 g cream cheese with herbs

1 chickory

3 tbsp chopped parsley

Pepper, salt

1 egg

White and black sesame seeds

Preheat the oven 180 C fan.

Unroll the pastry and spread the cream cheese on top. Cut the chicory in fine strips and chop the parsley. Add it over the cheese. Season

Rip the salmon in chunks and place it on top. Fold the other puff pastry layer over and with a fork press down the edges.

Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake for 15 to 20 min.
