Onion Celery and Tuna Fish Rice

A very easy and fast to prepare dish. Cook fresh rice in a rice cooker or use leftover rice from the fridge.

I cleaned my onion bucket and a couple of smaller onions needed a purpose. The same with some celery stalks. But a little bit of protein was needed. Canned tuna is a good source and a staple in my household. Just a small can. Enough for flavour and texture.

Using some Noilly Prat to empty the bottle, some homemade vegetable paste to season the dish. Salt, pepper and Piment d'Espelette were added too. A dollop of creme fraiche fir some smooth sauce and the sauce was cooked.

Rice added and fresh parsley. The leftovers are a great evening snack.

Ingredients:

1 rice cooker cup Basmati

1 small can of tuna fish in sunflower oil

3 celery stalks

4 mixed onions

1 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp oil

50 ml Noilly Prat

1 tsp veg stock paste homemade

2 tbsp creme fraiche

Parsley
