Sucuk Burger

It is called s Turkish Burger.


Sucuk is a kind of sausage made from beef, veel ot lamb meat. It is strong seasoned and can be found in a mild or hot veriaty.


I often watch on YT "koch dich türkisch". Easy recipes, the ingredients can be found in most Turkish supermarkets in Germany now. Well most of the ingredients!


In the video the Chef used Sucuk burger patties and said that they are available now.
In the largest Turkish supermarket in town, they were not available. But that is just a minor problem. All kinds of sucuk sausages were there. I just took the hot regular ones and cut them into halves.


recipe for 1 burger:
1 sucuk sausage
1 sesame burger bun
3 slices Pastirma
2 slices Kacar cheese
1 egg
3 tbsp red pepper sauce or Ayvar
olive oil


Take the peel off the sausage. Cut it lenghwise in two halves.
Toast the burger buns.
Add oil to a small pan and fry off the Pastirma slices. They should get crispy like bacon. Drain on kitchen paper.
Put the sausage halves into the pan and fry them on both sides.
Cut 2 slices of cheese and place on the buns.
Smear the top and bottom of the buns with red sauce.


Use a 10 cm metal ring, put it in the pan and chuck the egg in and fry it.
Build the burger.
