Schnitzel with mushrooms

Finally eating out again.


I was on a Friday till Sunday short trip to Northern Baden. After a very sunny day at 37C and lots of nice short stops along the way the reservation at 7PM at the restaurant Stern (star) in Ruedenau was the last stop of the day.


The restaurant has a butcher shop attached to it. Since we were a bit early, we went there first.
After buying some local specialities such as canned soups we sat down to dinner.


It is a pity that due to Corona the restaurant was nearly empty.

I started the evening with a festive soup
 So called, because it was a beef consommé with pork liver dumplings and bone marrow dumplings.

Next came the hunter schnitzel with fresh mushrooms and a dark sauce and french fries
That came with a fresh salad as well.


I choose an apple cider parfait topped with whipped cream.

Such a nice evening.
