Open Face Bread with Tomato and Cucumber

My fridge in my holiday apartment is still out of commisson. An electric ice box is helping a bit. Since we are in the middle of the Sahara heat wave on Europe, storing perishable food is a problem without a real fridge. 



I bought some local caraway rye bread today and decided to go with an alternative spread on the bread. 

Tomatoes and cucumber are locally sourced and organic.

Seasoning with salt, pepper and some dried herbs is the best.
