Rice Pilaw Levant style with Cheese

I saw many different recipes from different countries in the Middle East. This pilaw is a side dish or can be eaten with a bit of protein and veg on its own.

I took ideas from many regions and made it in my own style. I will definitley make it again.

I used very thin short pasta, like broken pieces of threads. This kind of pasta is used here in Germany for clear soups.

Recipe for 2:

1 small hand full of pasta, 2 tbsp oil

1 1/2 rice cooker cups pilaw rice

4 rice cooker cups water

1/2 tsp veg stock paste, salt, pepper

1 spring onion

1 mozzarella ball, tomatoes

Heat up the oil and dump the pasta in. Start to stir and stir often. Be careful, they will burn quickly.

Wash the rice and dump it in too. Coat it with the oil and fill up with the water. Add veg stock paste and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook until the rice is done. In the last 2 min add the chopped spring onion. Season.

Serve with mozzarella and tomatoes
