Strawberry Sambal

This is a recipe from Indonesia.



I am cooking either chicken wings or drumsticks tomorrow in the air fryer. That depends what kinds of organic chicken pieces I will get.

 I saw this on YT by Beryl Shereshewsky.

They always call for some kind of sauce or dip when they come out of the air fryer. I often go the Asian way. Often Korean or Japanese. 



Strawberries are not only ment to be eaten as they are or in a dessert or cake. They go well in the savoury direction.



This Sambal is a quick process.

120 g strawberries

1 shallot, 1 garlic clove, 1 red chili

1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp brown sugar, 1 lime

Lemon salt, pepper, 1/2 tsp chicken bouillon powder



Fry the rough chopped chili, shallot and garlic until they have a little color.



Either use a pestle and mortar or a mini chopper and bring all together and make a coarse blend.
