Pot Stickers

I better call them Pan Stickers!

A quick Saturday lunch was my desire today. Just a bit of sausage meat with lots of green is the filling. I was able to get some "Chinese" chives. It looked a lot stronger and smelled more intense.
Wrappers of all kinds are sitting in my freezer. I was lazy and got them out a little to late to thaw them out. I used the microwave to help. That makes the outside of the wrappers a little brittle.

It took a bit to incorporate all the finely chopped greens into the sausage meat, but filling the wrappers was easy then.

ingredients for 10:
120 g sausage meat
1 bunch Chinese chives
10 Gyoza wrappers
3 spring onions
1/2 tsp toasted sesame
1 tsp sesame oil
salt and pepper
chili
sunflower oil for the pan and some sesame oil later.
Sweet chili sauce to dip

When the wrappers are filled look for a pan with a lid.
Heat up some sunflower oil and place the dumplings in. Cook them on medium high heat for 3 min.
Add 75 ml water and close the lid.
Reduce the heat to medium and cook for 7 min.
Take away the lid, let the dumplings steam up and add a splash of sesame oil. Cook 3 more min.
Try to loosen the dumplings without destroying them and put them on a plate.
Eat with sweet chili sauce.
