The name of this cake sounds morbid. But it is a food waste kind of cake.
I have got a huge box of milk chocolates as a gift. Looked very good, different shapes and three different solid fillings in yellow, caramel and chocolate.
But they all tasted the same? I ate a couple of them and thought what now? I googled using leftover chocolates and found this recipe. It is a Thermomix one.
Recipe:
300 g chocolates - use what ever you have, even Easter bunnies
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
150 g butter unsalted
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla sugar
120 g flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 pinch of salt
Preheat the oven 175 C.
Put the chocolates in the Thermomix, crush them 10 sec/ speed 8
Add butter, 3 min , temp 50 C, speed 1
Brush the sides down, 1 min, temp 50, speed 1
Add eggs and vanilla sugar, 30 sec, speed 4
All other ingredients now 30 sec, speed 6
Use a 26 cm bundt form and spray. Fill in the batter and bake for 40 min.
If it gets too dark, cover with foil. Use a wooden pick and check if the cake is done. The chocolates had some kind of orange flower spice. My whole apartment smells of oranges.
The cakes tastes great and I am happy I did not throw the filled chocolates in the trash.
