I harvested my first 8 figs for 2018 from the small tree in front of the house. This year looks like I will have a good amount of figs to eat. The second batch that ripens later in the year looks good too.
A nice salad with figs was my challenge for today. I bought 3 ingredients on my wax home.
Just mixed salad, grapes and Roquefort cheese.
When I came home, I first caramelized some walnuts and washed the salad.
Recipe:
100 g mixed salad
5 figs
60 g white grapes
60 g Roquefort cheese
50 g caramelized walnuts
Dressing:
2 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
3 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper
Dried salad herbs
A dash of agave syrup
