Potato Mash on its own is great. But a 50 :50 mix with carrots makes it even better.
I had some Bratwurst left over from my French onion stuffed baguette and wanted to eat it as a full meal. Potatoes and carrots are a good side dish. Why not combine both together. You even have one pot less to wash up.
The usual components for a potato mash go well with the carrots too. I used my leftover lactose free double cream and added some milk and heated it up in the microwave. A good dollop of butter is a must in any mash and nutmeg, salt and pepper are needed.
I had some fresh chives, it went well with the carrot potato mash.
