Popcorn with Salted Caramel Flavour

I bought popcorn kernels and decided to pop them at home.




I rarely eat popcorn. But the microwave kind is the easy way to have some. But it is too sweet and I was looking for a different kind. Pure salted popcorn is not my go to kind.



It was a long time ago since I popped some in a pot. Until today I only used sunflower oil. But I read that coconut oil is more flavourful and heat stable.



With in all my spice blends I have some salted caramel flakes to use in desserts. Why not in popcorn. 

Let's try that.

1 heaped tbsp coconut oil

1 layer popcorn kernels

2 - 3 tsp salted caramel flakes
