Sponge Cake with Condensed Milk

This is an easy and tasty cake.

I needed 2 tsp of condensed milk for my Korean sweet corn pancakes. I had to open a can for it. But what to do with the rest. Google helped me :-)

The sweetened condensed milk is not very common here in Germany. Rarely people use it. We only use evaporated milk in the same kind of can. Mostly for coffee. The only sweetened kind was "Milchmädchen" (milk girl). But since a lot of people from Russia came to Germany in the 80 and 90, we find the Russian condensed milk on our supermarket shelves.

The cake recipe has just 7 ingredients:

390 g condensed milk, 4 eggs,

50 g melted butter, pinch of salt and vanilla

150 g flour, 1 tsp baking powder

Mix the first 5 ingredients together and sieve flour and baking powder together in.

Use a 18cm round loose bottom dish or individual cups and bake it either for 45 min or 25 min at 180C.
