Potato Dumplings smashed and oven baked

Crispy potato dumplings the easy way. 



It was a lazy day and I needed time to iron all my clothes from the sandy and very hot trip to Bahrain. Doing a lot of cooking was not on my agenda for the day.



Luckily I had bought a package of ready to cook Mini Potato dumplings. They are available here from two different companies. You can either find Emmi's or Burgis. Put them in boiling water and serve them with any kind of meat with lots of sauce.

Or smash them with a glass on a baking sheet, season them and spray them with oil.



Preheat the oven 180 C fan. Bake them for 30 min.

As a dip, I mixed creme fraiche with Ayvar.
