It was in 2019 that I was eating out in the Greek Tavern ELA in the city. Now I invited my friend for a late Birthday dinner there. It was a good idea to check the reviews on the Internet. I had to make a reservation one week in advance for a Wednesday evening.
And it was busy there. The lighting at the tables is a bit underwhelming/dark. The photos are not that good.
But I was not there for the lights at the table, but the food on it. The tablecloth is paper and there is a pen. When you get the menu, grab the pen and start writing your favourite dish numbers on the paper. There is a lot to choose from and you will not be able to remember all of it without writing them down.
After our first batch of Mezedes we saluted with a Hugo. A special drink with Hollyberries and mint in it.
Then the small plates arrived with a lot of bread. This is food to share and that is the fun of it. That way you can discover more.
We started with a Fava dip, then came yufka wrapped feta cheese with honey and sesame. Mushrooms with cheese cream filling, prawns and Bifteki meatballs and olive oil fried potato sticks.
We ordered then a tomato and an eggplant dip and some pork skewers.
But now we were officialy stuffed. OUZO at last helped a little. A great dinner experiance was over. Until the next time.
